INSTALLATION AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Putting It On!!

WET IT FIRST—A wet shield works better!

Your SCUBA Shield is properly installed as follows:

  1. Place the open end (large) over the valve, and then work the small end opening over the tank valve; valve handle first, and then the valve body itself.

  2. Orient the long seam forward (the way you are facing when wearing the tank). The short seam will face outwards away from the BC (see photo).

  3. Slide the material down over the tank and allow the closed end to stretch and snap over the bottom. Smooth out any wrinkles and go diving!  Make sure the BC strap is tight.

Properly Installed!

Care and Feeding Instructions

The SCUBA Shield is constructed of a high quality, polyester Spandex fabric.  With proper care, the material will last a multitude of dives, without fading or color changes.

  • As with all of your dive gear, your SCUBA Shield should be rinsed with fresh water following each dive day, and hung to dry before using again.

  • After returning home from a dive trip, launder your SCUBA Shield as you would any fine article of clothing; e.g. a cold water wash in a mild detergent and hang to dry.

  • After drying completely, roll tightly, and return to the original packaging.
